“This curriculum is outstanding! This is the first time that I’ve bought a full course on TPT because the price tag is a lot (especially with the conversion for Canadians), but reflecting on the fact that I’ve had to do virtually no planning or prep for the OLC this year, I actually think that this unit is a steal. There is so much included that you can’t download it in one zip file but the seller conveniently prepared a Dropbox folder which really helped in facilitating the organization of the bundle. Every unit is well organized, at the end of every week I just check the pacing guide and get my Google Classroom ready with the lessons provided. Overall I am really happy that I bit the bullet and purchased this curriculim. I can even use it with my other English courses.”

What I like about this resource is that it includes detailed worksheets and innovative lessons for all of the literacy skills included. My whole class loved the interview project and we got such a great reaction from the whole school on this. WOuld definitely recommend this package as it was a great purchase for me.

Great resource for my Ontario Literacy Course as well as my OSSLT boot camp prep that I run after school for my students who need extra support. Easy to follow lessons, broken down units and reading/writing tasks. An entire course fully developed and the convenience of implementing if I’m absent. Thanks for sharing!

This bundle was a life saver. It is FULL of units with useful resources & assignments. The organization after download was a bit confusing and some of the units are EXTREMELY short (ex. Writing Informational Paragraphs), but I was able to beef it up with other resources I found online. Students especially loved “Humans of my High School” activity. Expensive but worth the money.
Michelle F. (verified owner) –
I found this resource to be really easy to use and very clear. Easy to adapt to my own lesson. Also used Canadian references for examples so that was fun.
Ashley H. (verified owner) –
A ton of resources to use. Helpful way to get my students who are disengaged writers, more engaged in the process.
Jade G. (verified owner) –
I have not had a chance to use each piece of this resource as it is very large but I am happy with what I have used so far. This resource uses relevant content to engage students so they may not be fully aware that they are practicing OSSLT skills if they aren’t explicitly told. I appreciate the work that has gone into the resource.
Pam L. (verified owner) –
A very nice resource. Creating assignments with Google Forms would make it better.
Shannon B. (verified owner) –
I worked with a student one-on-one and this made it so much easier to work through the OLC course. Thanks!

This bundle has been a great starting point for my OLC course this semester. The materials are clear, engaging and easy to implement right away. I love that there is a digital option. I know I will get lots of use out of this thoughtfully designed bundle!

I wasn’t sure about this resource at first based on the price point, but I’m certainly glad I purchased it! It has helped guide my OCL4O class and even provided some resources for my ENG2D class and their preparation for the OSSLT. Some of the articles my students haven’t exactly bought into, but the slides and prepared presentations with accompanying worksheets are worth every penny. This resource has saved me so much prep time. I do wish there weren’t watermarks on every slide (especially when they are free slide templates). It somewhat distracts from the purpose of the slides and I have students asking me what it’s for… A minor detail.

Good resource. I’m not sure if the News Article parts are as relevant anymore with the updates to OSSLT? All in all, though, comprehensive and well organized. Lots of care went into this.

I am so thrilled to have come across this resource! Whenever I teach this course, it is different all the time depending on the students. I wanted to changet things up after using my board’s OLC course which was dry, not differentiated, and not very engaging. With burnout, I also did not want to re-create the wheel. This course is so thoughtfully created, laid out, and easy to post on Google Classroom. I no longer have the Sunday Scaries (for at least one course this semester) because I know I can rely on this and my students will be well-prepared and versed in the content. Of course, this depends on their attitude for the day LOL, but overall it has been excellent! I can even use some of these activities in my other courses as well. It is totally worth the purchase!

I am very happy with this product, and I have been using it in small groups this summer. Very easily adapted or use as a supplement to my lesson. Thank you

This was an amazingly comprehensive and thorough package – my students loved it (particularly the community interviews project), and I feel that it was light-years beyond what I had prepared originally for the OSSLC. One quick question – I may have overlooked it, but did you by any chance prepare Learning Goals and Success Criteria for this material? Thanks!

I’m so happy I found this resource! My boss just sprung this course on me and I was lost on what to do. They provided me with material and a course outline but not nearly enough. These docs are engaging and made teaching literacy much more enjoyable.

This Mega Bundle is incredible. It offers everything you can possibly need for the OLC Ontario Literacy Course (or resources for ELA in general). A must purchase on TPT!

I was a little hesitant to spend the money on this bundle, but I’ve now had it for two years and can say it was absolutely worth it!
The materials are very thorough and I find all the material engaging for my students. I’ve integrated many of the lessons, activities, and comprehension passages into my daily routine. It aligns really well with the curriculum, but is still flexible enough for adapting to the needs of my students. It is rare that a school day goes by where I’m not using at least one component of this bundle!
