All roles are independent contractor positions. You’ll need to sign a contract before starting any projects, and as an independent contractor, you’ll be responsible for managing your own taxes.

Proof-Reader & Quality Control

Remote / Work-from-Home

We’re seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader & Quality Control Specialist to ensure our resources meet the highest standards of quality, clarity, and accuracy. In this role, you will review and proofread resources, checking for grammar, punctuation, formatting, and overall consistency. You’ll also provide feedback to ensure that all resources align with our brand’s voice, values, and style.

When you apply for this position, please submit a budget proposal for proof-reading a 10-page digital & print educational resource geared towards older students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proofread educational materials for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
  • Ensure consistency in formatting, style, and layout across all resources.
  • Verify the accuracy of content, including instructional clarity and functionality of any digital components.
  • Collaborate with our team to maintain the premium quality and aesthetic appeal of our resources.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the content creators, ensuring alignment with our brand values and teaching goals.
  • Double-check that all resources are free of errors and meet our highest standards.
  • Applicant must have access to their own computer.
  • Applicant must also have access to their own PDF markup software (ie. Adobe Acrobat or an iPad with apple pencil).

Curriculum Designer - ELA - Common Core

We are looking to add a talented and passionate high school  Curriculum Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing comprehensive, differentiated, and engaging English Language Arts resources aligned with Common Core standards. You will work closely with our team to brainstorm and create innovative curriculum materials that align with our values and brand.

When you apply for this position, please submit a budget proposal for designing a 10-page digital & print educational resource geared towards high school students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm, design, and develop unique & high-quality English Language Arts curriculum resources that meet Common Core standards.
  • Create slideshows, worksheets, assessments, and other instructional materials.
  • Stay informed about copyright laws and ensure that all materials adhere to copyright standards, including the responsible use of AI tools.
  • Ensure all resources are accessible, diverse, and aligned with our brand values of equity and creativity.
  • Collaborate with our team to maintain the premium quality and aesthetic appeal of our resources, as well as receive feedback and make necessary revisions.
  • Applicant must have access to their own computer.
  • Applicant must have access to a Canva account that is not affiliated with their workplace.

Curriculum Designer - ELA - Ontario

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing comprehensive, differentiated, and engaging English Language Arts resources aligned with the Ontario curriculum. You will work closely with our team to brainstorm and create innovative curriculum materials that align with our values and brand.
