How to Use This Family Feud Icebreaker Game:
This Family Feud Game Classroom Feud game is a fast-paced team building activity that blends strategy, speed, and fun, making it a perfect choice for an icebreaker to build rapport and energize your students!
For the Google Slides® Version:
Make a copy of the Classroom Feud Slideshow using the force-copy hyperlink provided. Each “Face-Off Round” begins with a survey question, and the first student to buzz in has 5 seconds to respond. Reveal answers by deleting blue rectangles, and update scores in real-time on the slide. An answer key matching the slide layout has also been provided. This Family Feud Game version encourages active participation and on-the-spot thinking.
The game includes interchangeable countdown timers (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 seconds) and concludes with a “Fast Money Round,” where the leading team races to reach 300 points.
For the Paper-Based Game Version:
Use the Printable Game Version for a tech-free experience. This version includes Survey Question Cards, Answer Sheets, Strike Counters, and printed Score Sheets. You can act as a game host by reading questions aloud while students write or call out answers. The print format mirrors the digital version in gameplay but provides added tactile interaction for large groups or classrooms without device access. The paper-based Family Feud Game option is perfect for classrooms with limited tech access.
The Teacher Guides for both versions include detailed setup instructions and guidance for using the various printouts. A scorekeeper role is suggested to assist with tracking points and helping the game run smoothly. Important Note for Slideshow Version:
